Weasel Wear was founded by Brit and Anthony Jasperson in 2021. After 7 years of growing her Instagram @missvonfrankenstein for her virtual coaching biz, Brit started realizing that one piece of feedback kept repeating itself like a broken record: “I don’t follow you for the workouts; I just love your style!!” After hearing this enough times (and simultaneously supporting her clients through the painful topics that health journeys dredge up), she finally began asking herself, “If my style is what people love, and the work of coaching is exhausting my sensitive soul, why not simply offer my style instead?!”

Then in March 2021, she received the opportunity of a lifetime—to cosplay “Helena” for a meet & greet where My Chemical Romance filmed the original music video. For this event, Brit collaborated with illustrator @enojonaamorosaart to convert a photo of her cosplay in to a branded sticker passed out for promotion. This sticker caused such a stir that she thereafter decided to list it on Etsy for sale. Thus, the first official Weasel Wear product was born.

When this item flew off the shelves, it only seemed natural to expand the collaboration to additional designs adorning even more products. Pins, prints, and T-Shirts were next on the menu, but Brit and Anthony weren’t ready to stop there… With every success, these hustlers were left asking how they could challenge their creativity to reach the next level. So in January 2022, the couple decided it was time to go ALL IN with fashion.

It’s no secret that the Jaspersons have a unique sense of style. Since childhood, both have taken conscious control over their aesthetic—with Anthony wearing button-up shirts, ties, and cowboy boots to kindergarten every day, and Brit wearing flowing, maxi dresses with sparkly, matching cardigans to class as all the other little girls arrived in T-shirts and jeans.

The Jasperson aesthetic expanded from there as both began to embrace their darker inclinations as teens. Brit was a huge fan of punk rock and Halloween, Anthony a fan of vampiric lore, and these interests began to reflect in their self-expression. Combine their own desire for bold, eerie, almost costume-like pieces, with the desire of the VonFrankenTribe to replicate their looks, and now you understand the origin of Weasel Wear!!
